Intergrating Technology
Integrating Technology in the Classroom💻
Technology in the classroom is revolutionizing learning across the globe. Mixing traditional and cutting-edge technology is great for creating an effective learning environment. Some ways I would integrate technology in the classroom are by - Using both traditional tools and technology: Using a mix of interactive whiteboards, applications online, textbooks, and paper-based assignments would be some of the tools I'd use in my class.
- How would integration enhance engagement? Using traditional tools like textbooks and paper-based assignments would be the foundation of learning in the classroom while the technology would build upon what we are learning. Using the material from the textbook, watching videos online using paper-based assignments to clarify knowledge then finishing off with a test or a larger interactive online assignment to make sure the students know what they learned for sure.
Benefits of technology in the classroom:
Evaluation of Technology Use:
Evaluating technology use and if it's benefitting students wouldn't be as hard as it sounds. Using assessments of student engagement and feedback, and monitoring student's grades pre and post-integration.
- Assessment of student engagement and feedback: Assessing student participation and grades would determine whether or not technology would continue to be used in the classroom. I would also ask students for feedback on the technology being used, do they like it? Do they think it positively help them? If I want honest, anonymous answers I'd use something like google polls or a blank sheet of paper with no names for the students to be honest. But if I want something more collaborative I'd do a classroom discussion to go over their preferences and or concerns.
